FAQs

Will You Tell Me How To Pose?

We will absolutely tell you how to pose and where to look. All you have to do is show up and have fun!

What Do I Do About My Hair And Makeup?

Professional Hair and makeup is included in your session. All you have to do is show up on the day of your shoot with a clean face and clean hair and my stylist will take good care of you! Easy peasy!!

Is It Okay To Be Nervous?

Everyone is nervous! It’s normal to feel nervous going into a Boudoir session. I shoot systematically to ease those nerves – everything I do is designed to make you feel relaxed and comfortable from the minute you walk through the door. We don’t just jump into it and you won’t even be looking at the camera when we first start. There is a psychology behind successful boudoir images. Feeling comfortable with your photographer is EVERYTHING!

How Far In Advance Should I Book My Session

2 months prior to needing the finished product in-hand is a good time to keep in mind. Also, being a one-woman show, I tend to book up very quickly and relatively far in advance. That being said DON’T WAIT to email me! It’s never too early to get on my schedule. Your photo reveal appointment will be approximately 2-3 weeks after your photo session, and your finished product (depending on what you order) will arrive between 3 and 6 weeks after that.

Where Will My Photo Session Take Place?

Boudoir By Skye has a studio at 7977 Monarch Rd, Larkspur, CO – just down the road from Castle Rock! One set up is specifically for portraits with backdrops and studio lighting, and the other is designed for boudoir and candid lifestyle photography.

What Should I Wear?

This is probably the most popular question I get….and the answer is simple…whatever you feel beautiful in. I often recommend 3-4 outfit changes. What works well is having 2x bra and panty set and 1x body suite. A black set, a white set and one color set is sometimes all your need! In a 2 hour photo session, you will typically have time for up to 3 “looks” or outfits (yes, “white shirts count as an outfit)! We can even throw in a bed sheet set and those are stunning! Once you’ve completed the booking process with me, you will also receive a detailed shoot guide that will help you with preparations and wardrobe considerations. I also have a small select client closet that will be available to you on the day of your shoot if needed.
